I started shopping for vintage in middle school when I got tired of my classmates having the same clothes that I did. Enter thrift stores and vintage shops - what a way to have fun and be creative with what you wear!

About the Shop Name: 

When I was a teenager I would joke about what my band name would be if I had a band - "Candy From Strangers!" It seemed silly, edgy, and had a ring to it. When I decided I wanted to share my vintage finds with the world and create this business I had to pick a name. I jokingly threw that out there again but this time it kinda stuck with me. I made it a little more personal by changing it to "Candy From A Stranger" - singular, one - ME! I'm the Stranger, and all of my finds are super sweet like candy.

I started this business in my tiny studio apartment in North Hollywood, California in 2016. My goal is to re-house vintage gems that I find out in the world with people who will love them and rock them!
